cHAPULTEPEC CASTLE
Chapultepec Castle is a historic building located in Chapultepec Park. It was originally built as a royal residence in the late 18th century and later became the official residence of Mexican emperors. Today, it houses the National History Museum, showcasing Mexico's past through exhibits and artifacts. The castle is also known for its beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the city. ​

MODERN ART MUSEUM
The Modern Art Museum (Museo de Arte Moderno) in Chapultepec Park is dedicated to Mexican and international modern art. It features a collection of works from iconic artists like Leonora Carrington, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, and David Alfaro Siqueiros. The museum's sleek, contemporary design contrasts with the surrounding natural beauty of the park. It's a great place to explore Mexico's artistic evolution and enjoy temporary exhibitions as well. ​
Fun fact: Leonora Carrington, British born Mexican artist, was a very close family friend of Andrea's grandparents and family. When Andrea was little Leonora helped her convince Janet (Andrea's mum) to buy her toys at their usual breakfast spot.
TAMAYO MUSEUM
The Tamayo Museum is dedicated to the work of renowned Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo. Located in Chapultepec Park, the museum showcases his vibrant, abstract paintings and sculptures, alongside contemporary art from both Mexican and international artists. The museum's modern architecture, with its distinctive design, creates a dynamic space for exploring Tamayo's artistic evolution and the broader world of modern art. Chapultepec Park is one of the largest city parks in the world, offering a huge green space in the heart of Mexico City. It's divided into several sections, with lakes, museums, and cultural sites scattered throughout. People come here to relax, walk, bike, or visit attractions like the Zoo, the Castle, and the Kids Museum. The park's lush landscapes and tranquil atmosphere make it the perfect escape from the city's hustle, while still being close to all the action. ​​​​
