EXPLORE MEXICO CITY

POLANCO

Polanco is where Mexico City gets fancy, but it's not all just about the high-end vibe- it's got layers! You'll find tree lined streets with chic boutiques, amazing restaurants, and some seriously cool museums tucked between upscale apartments. It's the kind of place where you can grab tacos at the local spot and then wander over to sip cocktails on a rooftop without missing a beat. It's polished, sure, but it's not pretentious- just a great spot to spend the day exploring and people watching. We love hanging out here!

national museum of anthropology
The National Museum of Anthropology is an absolute must see- it is massive, and every corner feels like it's got something incredible to show you. From ancient Aztec artefacts to Mayan treasures, it's like a crash course in everything that makes Mexico's history so epic. Even if you're not a museum person, the architecture alone is worth it- just wait until you see the giant waterfall in the courtyard!
Fun fact: Andrea's zeide (grandad) Max would bring all the cousins here on an almost weekly basis, so they all basically grew up here!

polanquito
Polanquito is the little sibling of Polanco- cosy, charming, and way more chill. It's packed with cute cafés, incredible restaurants and bars, boutique shops, and some of the best people-watching in the city. Whether you're grabbing a coffee or settling in for dinner at one of its trendy restaurants, it's the kind of place where you'll want to linger and soak up the vibe.
soumaya museum
The Soumaya Museum is hard to miss - it's that futuristic, silver building that looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. Inside, it's just as impressive, with over 60,000 pieces of art spanning everything from Mexican muralists to European masters like Rodin and Dalí. It's free to enter, which is wild considering the collection, and the layout lets you wander through six floors of sculptures, paintings, and historical artefacts. Even if you're not an art buff, it's worth checking out just to experience the space - it's unlike any other museum in the city.

jumex museum
The Jumex Museum is the spot to hit if you're into contemporary art- it's sleek, modern, and always has something unexpected on display. It houses one of the largest private collections of contemporary art in Latin America, so you'll find everything from big-name artists to cutting edge installations. The exhibitions rotate often, so there's always something fresh to see, and the minimalist design of the building itself is pretty stunning. If you're looking for a museum that feels a bit edgier and more current, this is the one!

aquarium
The Inbursa Aquarium is like dicing into an underwater world right in the middle of the city. It's got everything from tiny colourful fish to sharks and even penguins, spread across multiple levels of exhibits. The best part? You start at the bottom and work your way up through different aquatic habitats, which keep it exciting all the way through. It's a great spot whether you're with kids or just feeling like a kid yourself.
